Registration with Dental Council
In order for an applicant to be eligible to register he/she must fulfill the following overall requirements:
- Have a valid pass for both the written and the clinical components of the NZDTREX examination
- The components of the examination process is valid for the following periods from the date of successful completion of the
examinations/tests:
• English Tests (as required by the current Policy on English Competence and English Tests) - two years.
- Applicants need to register with the Dental Council and practise in New Zealand within three years after passing all the examination
components and meeting the eligibility criteria for registration
Applicants who are eligible for registration should complete and submit the Application for Registration in New Zealand for New Zealand
Qualified or NZDTREX Qualified Applicants. Please contact the Dental Council for a copy of the relevant registration form.
