Ireland accredited dentistry programmes now recognised in Aotearoa
Council has now approved the Dental Council of Ireland accredited dentistry programmes as prescribed qualifications for the general dental scope of practice.
This means graduates of Dental Council of Ireland accredited dentistry programmes can apply for registration in Aotearoa New Zealand using the overseas prescribed qualification pathway. This applies to the 2022 cohort onwards.
Thank you to those that submitted during the consultation in May. 32 submissions were received. All but one supported the proposal.
